Real missions. Real discoveries. Ridiculous fun.

Every board space and minigame is a doorway to something real that explorers have actually done. Here's a peek at the kind of Space Fact cards you'll find in the game.

Asteroid nudge

DART

In 2022, NASA's DART spacecraft crashed into a tiny asteroid moon called Dimorphos on purpose, and changed its orbit. It was the first test of how we could nudge an asteroid away from Earth!

Space treasure

OSIRIS-REx

This spacecraft grabbed rocks and dust from the asteroid Bennu and sent them back to Earth in 2023, so scientists can study material from the early solar system.

Back to the Moon

Artemis

NASA's Artemis program is sending astronauts back to the Moon to explore more of it than ever before, and to learn how to get ready for Mars.

Red planet rover

Mars

The Perseverance rover has been exploring Mars since 2021, collecting rock samples. Its little helicopter buddy, Ingenuity, made the first powered flight on another planet.

About Us

Meet the Galaxy Surfer crew

Galaxy Surfer Studios is a family game studio. We make the games we want to play together on game night: cute, a little silly, and full of the wonder of space. Here's our crew, in their explorer alter-egos.

Captain Frausty "Goldensun" Drake

GM: General Manager & Grand Marshal

A swashbuckling sun-pirate captain in a long sunburst coat, with a golden compass that doubles as a treasure scanner. Charming, protective and full of Irish swagger, he cracks dad jokes mid-adventure and calls his crew "me little stars."

Galaxia "Spark" Star

Chief Navigator & Treasure Whisperer

A sparkly green explorer from the glowing nebulae of Verdantia-9. Her antennae sense cosmic currents, hidden wormholes and secret shortcuts (and ice cream in the galley). Optimistic, a little mischievous, and always ready to high-five the crew.

Ivy "Comet" Comet

Chief Scout & Nature Whisperer

A cheerful forest-elf scout with a glowing leafy headband, sparkling emerald earrings and a gentle, friendly smile.

Rosey Twinkle

Morale Booster & Magic Map Reader

A bubbly unicorn girl from the Crystal Meadows of the Nebula Isles, whose rainbow horn lights up hidden star maps. She's the crew's official "happiness officer," and she loves silly treasure songs, encouraging hugs and sharing sparkly snacks.

Our origin story

Our family photo has already been to space

In September 2024, our family's photo flew aboard the Polaris Dawn mission through the "My Face in Space" program, and it showed up in a video recorded in orbit.

Seeing that picture floating above Earth made the universe feel close enough to touch. That's the feeling we want every family to get from our games: space belongs to all of us, and the next generation of explorers might be sitting on your couch right now.

To the cosmos, and beyond! 🚀
